Short Epiphany - Electoral College

The Electoral College method of electing Presidents distorts the entire process, allows special interests to more easily target money to sway the election results, and makes for "close races" in which the President gets elected based not on solid plans, but on pissing off the fewest people in the States that are not already in their "pocket" because that particular state is "locked as a win" because the so called 2 party system Government largesse benefits that state, making it Dem or Repub.

But really it all matters naught until the constitution and the rule of law can be re-established, and that is if we haven't already tipped over the tipping point.   Additionally, until undue Corporate and rich people influence can be brought under control, including lobbying, it will all remain a sham, a travesty, a Randian Orwellian nightmare in which all your efforts remain at risk.

Or you can join the corruption with both hands, which is not a great solution either, as the moral hazard associated with depleting your "fire insurance", and the chance that a bull market in pitchforks may erupt at some time.

Executive Order: Accelerating Broadband Infrastructure Deployment

For Immediate Release: June 14, 2012

EXECUTIVE ORDER
- - - - - - -
ACCELERATING BROADBAND INFRASTRUCTURE DEPLOYMENT

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 301 of title 3, United States Code, and in order to facilitate broadband deployment on Federal lands, buildings, and rights of way, federally assisted highways, and tribal and individual Indian trust lands (tribal lands), particularly in underserved communities, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Policy. Broadband access is essential to the Nation's global competitiveness in the 21st century, driving job creation, promoting innovation, and expanding markets for American businesses. Broadband access also affords public safety agencies the opportunity for greater levels of effectiveness and interoperability.

"They" always put the most important thing at the end.   Do you understand the Orwelllian madness associated with this statement?

Oh and By the Way...

Inflation/Rates Destroys Savers esp. fixed income

Brits are complaining about getting on 3.29 % (they use pc by the way) on a "2 year fix"

In America, land of the "risk asset down your throat", I mean land of the free, we are lucky to get 1.25% on a 3 year fixed rate.    So the brits got it pretty good, methinks.

Some other options for Americans are taking B rated unsecured bonds on coal companies, still being sold over 100, in a reach to get 8% return with a 3 year commitment, AND the company can buy the bonds back and "knock you out of the position" in less than 3 years if they so choose (net effect your rate of return is reduced).

Right now I got other things on my plate, so further investigation into positions other than hard assets remains a future task.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Telegraph lamants the Brits low rates on saving cash.

Why would banks pay good rate to "Joe Citizen" when the government hands them money nearly for nothing?    Gov wants to make sure there isn't another housing debacle, so provides cheap money to "get people into homes".   Low rates mean real estate activity, and the ability to "bid up" property prices or at least keep them from tanking.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/savings/9589426/The-Government-clobbers-savers-again.html

Savings rates have fallen by 10pc in just two months – and the Government is responsible.
High street lenders have admitted that there is no incentive to offer competitive rates to savers while they can get cheap loans through the official Funding for Lending scheme, designed to help get first-time buyers on the property ladder.
In recent negotiations to decide the interest rate that would be offered to savers via a fund platform, one bank said it expected fixed-rate saving bonds to fall by up to half a percentage point in the near future.
"The Bank of England base rate has not moved, there have not been more stringent banking regulations introduced, yet rates have fallen significantly in recent months," said a spokesman for the fund platform. "The only difference is the Funding for Lending scheme. Cash savers should expect to see further reductions in the future."
The average return on a one-year fixed-rate account has fallen by almost 8pc over the past two months, from 2.77pc to 2.57pc, while the rate on a typical two-year fix has dropped by 8.5pc from 3.29pc to 3.01pc, according to Moneyfacts.co.uk.
A string of providers have made reductions to their savings rates recently, including West Bromwich Building Society, Halifax, Santander, Sainsbury's Bank and Principality Building Society.
Meanwhile, the most competitive rate on a five-year fixed-rate bond has fallen to 3.98pc, compared with 6.56pc five years ago, with many market-leading deals being withdrawn soon after launch.
Analysts predicted that returns on savings could edge lower now that cheap money is available to banks via the Funding for Lending scheme.

And so it begins.... The Bilderburger Bombshell

Anyone who reads Hawaii Trading probably knows that I have been pimping out this idea that

"The Euro makes no sense, never did, never will"

and that the real reason for the Euro was so that it could blow up, and allow the Bilderberg and Rothschild types to consolidate all the power in Europe.

A dangerous game they play.    Maybe a spinoff would be a joint Czar of Germany, Britian, France which would take over the financial control of Europe, "approved budgets and taxes" of the so called INDEPENDENT PARTNER countries.  Yeah right.

And so it begins, with this story.

There must be an EU “currency commissioner” with sweeping powers to strike down national budgets; a “large step towards fiscal union”; and yet another EU treaty.
Finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble dropped his bombshell in talks with German journalists on a flight from Asia, and apparently had the blessing of Angela Merkel, the chancellor. “When I put forward such proposals, you can take it as a given that the chancellor agrees,” he said.

Executive Order 13535 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's Consistency with Longstanding Restrictions on the Use of Federal Funds for Abortion

This executive order establishes an adequate enforcement mechanism to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services, except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered, consistent with a longstanding Federal statutory restriction that is commonly known as the Hyde Amendment.
The Act maintains current Hyde Amendment restrictions governing abortion policy and extends those restrictions to the newly created health insurance exchanges. Under the Act, longstanding Federal laws to protect conscience (such as the Church Amendment, 42 U.S.C. 300a-7, and the Weldon Amendment, section 508(d)(1) of Public Law 111-8) remain intact and new protections prohibit discrimination against health care facilities and health care providers because of an unwillingness to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.

The Act establishes a new Community Health Center (CHC) Fund within HHS, which provides additional Federal funds for the community health center program.

Executive Order - Classified National Security Information

This order prescribes a uniform system for classifying, safeguarding, and declassifying national security information, including information relating to defense against transnational terrorism. Our democratic principles require that the American people be informed of the activities of their Government. Also, our Nation's progress depends on the free flow of information both within the Government and to the American people. Nevertheless, throughout our history, the national defense has required that certain information be maintained in confidence in order to protect our citizens, our democratic institutions, our homeland security, and our interactions with foreign nations. Protecting information critical to our Nation's security and demonstrating our commitment to open Government through accurate and accountable application of classification standards and routine, secure, and effective declassification are equally important priorities.

The Moon, Gold, Cable, and Bucky

The moon timing model sure seems to be taking a breather, maybe it comes back around Dec 21 Solstice.

If you like buying gold, there could be a great opportunity in the next week or two.   I almost pulled the trigger last week.   Either way, buying on a pullback or buying on confirmed strength seems like a no-brainer.

Cable is playing out a strong egg pattern, aka Blimp of Doom, although a push to the 61 Fibo would still be within legit egg pattern.

Bucky sure looks like it wants to rock upward, and maybe we get some more Shenanighans from Bennie and the Boyz with unconventional "communications" to talk the dollar down, in layman's terms, lies.

Have a look see, drop a comment, wondering if anyone still stops in over here.   Also I have teamed up in an alliance with Evil Google for sponzerships, although I would like to do more direct affiliate and other ads, as the big G is just a little too evil.    Just read their privacy policies....they basic say....we will sell you out, guaranteed.

Money Flows ICI

http://www.ici.org

A great site, I used to make charts all the time to show money flowing out of US equities and foreign equities and into bonds.

They are interesting, however, in the era of the officialized ponzi, fundamentals can be steamrolled for quite some time.
