German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Tuesday evening blasted Greece and demanded that Athens raise the retirement age and reduce vacation days. Germany will help, she said, but only if indebted countries help themselves.(Der Spiegel).Sure you can "paper over" a few decades of American decline, and then place your hopes that a totalitarian communist regime with dozens of "Ghost cities" will pull you out from the ashes.
Or, you could get politically active, make attempts at restoration of contract law, and the implied contract that American live under, The Constitution and Bill of Rights. Or you could just develop a "bug out" plan, and some international trading accounts and get ready for an adventure.
...Or both.
